Spay Neuter Program
In partnership with the World Vets we hold between 4 - 6 spay neuter clinics each year in a different neighborhood in and around San Juan del Sur. While World Vets supplies the personal and medicines needed to operate these clinics, Stones & Waves is responsible for the local coordination and logistics, propaganda and the purchase of miscellaneous supplies. We also rely on many of our community supporters to provide bottled water and lunch during the clinic for the veterinary team.

Stones & Waves requires $200 to organize each clinic
In 2010 we will need $1200 to execute our 6 clinics planned

Training Initiative
One of the objectives of Stones & Waves is for it to become self sustainable by its own community. As such, we provide hands on experience and training to local veterinary students and veterinarians. Our newly appointed clinic manager is currently being trained as a vet technician so he may continue to offer limited services when no vet is present. Simply put, we aim to train the future vets and techs of Nicaragua so they may carry on the services currently provided by World Vets.

Stones & Waves requires $150 per month to support this initiative
In 2010 we will need a minimum of $1800 - $2000

In general our minimum annual budget is $5000 - $7000
