We'd like to thank World Vets and all of our local volunteers who took part in the spay neuter clinic!
After 3 days of clinic 84 spay neuter surgeries were performed, along with one enucleation, one mucocele and one aural hematoma repair, and about 50 animals for health consultations. We also have 11 cases of TVT
(Transmissible Venereal Tumor) to be treated at a special clinic held at Stones & Waves in 2 weeks.
With the help of our friends at
World Vets, the spider monkeys under our care were also relocated to their new sanctuary at
Domitila Reserva Privada, located outside of Granada, Nicaragua. We'd like to thank
Paso Pacifico for assisting us in this whole process and of course Maria Jose for providing such a wonderful environment for these monkeys to thrive in.
